Senior Citizen Health Insurance Policy protects you financially in the old age by covering hospitalisation and medical expenses. The policy provides cover for hospitalisation charges for the insured. The senior citizens also get an optional cover for the critical illnesses occurring after 90 days from the date of inception of the policy. Anyone who is aged more than 60 years and is a permanent resident of India is eligible to purchase this plan.

Eligibility

Anyone who is above 60 years of age and residing in India can take this policy to cover self and spouse. The maximum entry age under the policy is 70 years.

Exclusions

• Cosmetic, re-shaping treatments, aesthetic treatments, and surgeries
• Spectacles, hearing aids, or contact lenses including optometric therapy
• Illnesses caused directly or indirectly by war, revolution, uprising, or military acts
• Expenses arising due to intentional self-injury or breach of law with criminal intent
• Use of intoxicating substances such as drugs, alcohol, tobacco chewing, smoking, etc.
