It’s a health insurance product significantly designed to provide financial protection against cancer. The plan covers intensive medical treatment of cancer involving radiation, surgery, and chemotherapy. Whether diagnosed with any stage of Cancer - early, major or advanced, the plan assures you lump sum payout.

Key Features

• Sum insured starts from Rs. 5 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 1 Crore
• Coverage of 50% of the SI for the early stage of cancer
• On diagnosis of advanced stage cancer, payout is 100% of the SI irrespective of 50% given earlier
• In case the policyholder is diagnosed with advanced stage cancer, payout is 150% of the SI
• Optional cover for a second medical opinion
• Wellness coach facility is available as an optional benefit to get personalised advice regarding cancer treatment and recovery
• 10% of cumulative bonus, maximum up to 100% of the sum assured for every claim-free year

Scope of Coverage

• Insurance cover is not ceased after the first diagnosis of cancer
• A short survival period of seven days after the date of diagnosis
• Relationships covered include self, spouse, up to 4 children, mother, father, and 2 parents in laws
• Freedom to use a private or a shared room during hospitalisation
• Policy tenure is 1 year, 2 year and 3 year
• Tax benefit under section 80D of the Income Tax Act

Eligibility

Minimum and maximum age criteria to buy Cancer Secure policy are 18 years and 65 years respectively.

Exclusions

• Injuries due to the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs
• Hormone replacement therapy and birth control procedures
• Involvement in any activity related to breach of law
• Intentional self-injury, suicide or attempted suicide
• Sexually transmitted disease or AIDS/HIV
