Since it’s a floater plan, it also covers family members, including self, spouse and two dependent children and also parents.

- Optional benefits of pre-existing hypertension, diabetes, critical illness and outpatient treatment cover
- 5% discounts to buy a new policy and 2.5% discount at the time of renewal
- No Claim Discount of 5% for every claim-free year
Scope of Coverage
- Maternity and newborn baby expenses up to 10% of the sum insured
- Pre and post hospitalisation 30 days and 60 days respectively
- Cover for the policy buyer, his/her spouse, dependent children and parents
- Expenses incurred on AYUSH treatment
- Domiciliary treatment up to 20% of the sum insured
- Cover available for more than 140 daycare treatment procedures
- Emergency ambulance charges
Eligibility
The National Parivar Mediclaim Policy is available for women between the age of 18 years and 65 years. The policy also covers children from 3 months to 18 years.
Exclusions
- Any sexually transmitted disease, AIDS/HIV or other related diseases or illnesses
- Domiciliary hospitalisation if less than three days
- Any ailments diagnosed within 30 days of the policy inception
- Any self-inflicted injury or psychiatric disorder
- Expenses for the treatment of arthritis, gout and rheumatism
