Bajaj Allianz General Insurance to Offer Universal Healthcare Cover
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has partnered with GOQii (a Mumbai-based health tech app) to offer universal health coverage to its customers. With the announcement of the partnership, which was taken place on December 5, 2019, healthcare benefits can be offered on the basis of preventive healthcare. The plan will be offered for a sum insured option of Rs. 5 Lakh and is expected to be launched in the year 2020.
It’s not only Bajaj Allianz, but many other health insurance companies in India such as ICICI Lombard, Religare, Kotak General Insurance, Star health insurance and Max Bupa are in the partnership to work on innovative solutions for the industry.
With the high-tech app programme developed by GOQii, people can track their sleep, steps, and other physical activities. Based on their healthy behaviour, the company rewards them insurance discounts and other benefits based on health management data. This is a welcome move for customers for their health and wellness.
