Force Car Insurance
Every car owner in India has to follow traffic laws while driving. Hence, in accordance with the rules, you should buy a car insurance policy. While purchasing a Force car you must secure it from loss or damage caused due to an accident, theft, fire, or calamity. To give your Force car holistic protection, you must opt for own-damage car insurance or a comprehensive car insurance plan.
To drive a Force car in India, you need to own a minimum of a third party car insurance plan as a compulsion. The liability-only car insurance is the basic insurance designed to compensate the third party liabilities such as accidental injuries, death and property damage. On getting caught while driving your Force car without a third-party plan, you will have to pay a penalty of Rs. 2,000 and/or to face imprisonment for up to 3 months. The cost of the own-damage premium is based on its Insured Declared Value (IDV), which is computed after the deduction of the depreciation applied on the parts of the car from its selling price. The IDV is the maximum amount that policyholders are eligible to get in the form of compensation by their insurers in the event of an accident or a mishap.
You can expand your car insurance policy coverage for your Force car by including some add-on covers to your policy. You can select the optional covers on the basis of your requirements by making the payment of an additional premium. Below are some add-on covers which can be a perfect addition to your Force car insurance:
- Zero Depreciation Cover: This add-on cover helps you get the claim amount by making the insurance company compute it without considering the cost of depreciation which ultimately makes you get a higher amount of claim. This cover can be used only for cars up to five years for a limited number of times in a policy year.
- Roadside Assistance Cover: If your Force car breaks down somewhere, then the roadside assistance add-on cover can reach you to help. It can provide you with assistance in numerous ways such as towing the car, on-site repairs, fuel delivery, key replacement, battery jump-start, flat tyre repair, and so on.
- Consumables Cover: The consumables cover is an add-on that is designed to compensate for the cost of consumables used while repairing your insured car. This add-on cover provides you with the coverage for engine oil, grease, oil filter, air conditioner gas and bearings, lubricant, screws and nuts, etc.

Claim Cashless Car Insurance For Force Cars
Car insurance has two types of claim process comprising cashless method and reimbursement method. Policyholders can go with any of these, but the cashless method is recommended over the reimbursement claim process. The cashless car insurance facility allows you to get your Force car repaired without paying anything at a network garage as your insurance company tends to settle your bill directly with the service centre. To use this method, you are required to inform your insurer at the earliest about the mishap or accident and take your car to a network garage.
The cashless car insurance facility frees you from paying anything soon after facing a collision or a mishap. Also, it needs only a few documents to be submitted and a very small process to go through in comparison to the reimbursement process. Under this method, the insurance company sends a surveyor to the accident spot in order to assess the extent of damage on the basis of which the insurance company settles your insurance claim. The network garages of the insurance companies are chosen from the best repair centres that make you get quality repair service for your car without any cost.
Renew Expired Policy for Force Cars
If your car insurance policy gets expired due to non-payment of premium before the due date, it can bring many adverse effects. The hardship you may have to face could be many like losing NCB benefit, penalise for legal violation, etc. Losing such attributes can make you vulnerable legally as well as financially by getting punished for driving without an active car insurance policy due to which you will not remain eligible to get any compensation in case of a mishap. Hence, you should renew your plan on time every time and should get in touch with your insurance agent as soon as it gets expired.
During the renewal of a car insurance plan, your insurance company can send its representative to the accident spot or garage to assess the condition of your Force car. During the assessment, you might require to show some documents to the surveyor which may include a car registration certificate, a copy of the expired plan, etc. Most insurance companies allow their policyholders to renew their plans even after their expiry date. They offer this facility in terms of a grace period, generally 90 days from the expiry date, which they can avail online or offline to keep their policies active.
