  • What is the sum insured amount offered under this Extra Care Policy?

    The sum insured or coverage amount under this plan ranges from Rs. 10 Lakh to Rs. 15 Lakh, depending on the variant selected. 
     

  • What are the relationships that can be covered under this health insurance plan?

    This policy allows the coverage of self, spouse, and dependent children under the policy. Also, dependent parents can be covered under the policy, but a separate policy would be issued for parents to cover them.

  • Can I get my sum insured amount increased under this plan? If yes, when?

    Sum insured enhancement under this plan can be done only at renewals. For enhancement of the sum insured, fresh proposal form along with the renewal notice should be submitted.

  • What is the entry age applicable under this health insurance policy?

    Age of entry for proposer, spouse and parents is 18 years to 70 years. However, children from 3 months to 25 years can be covered as dependents.

  • Do I need to undergo any medical check-up to get coverage under this Extra Care Policy?

    The plan offers a waiver of medical tests up to 55 years subject to no adverse medical history. A medical test (pre-policy check-up) would be advised only for members 56 years and above.
     

  • Is free look period option provided under the plan? If yes, how can I use it?

    Yes, the free look period is given under this policy, where if you are not satisfied with policy coverage, terms and conditions, you have the option of cancelling the policy within 15 days of receipt of the policy documents, provided there has been no claim.
     

  • What is the policy period or coverage term available under this health insurance plan?

    The Extra Care Policy comes with the policy period of 1 year.

  • Does this policy offer the coverage for the ambulance charges?

    The policy covers ambulance charges in case of emergency subject to a maximum of Rs. 3000.
