      The policy period for National Insurance Critical Illness Policy is one year. 

       

    • Does National Insurance Company provide any discount to the customers?

      Yes. The company offers several discounts to the customers such as Early Entry Discount, Family Discount, Staff Discount, and Online, Direct, and POS machine discount. 

       

    • What is the age criteria for the Proposer under this policy?

      The Proposer for this policy should be aged between 18 years to 65 years.

       

    • Who all can be covered under this policy?

      The following members can be covered under this policy-

      • Spouse 
      • Dependent children aged between 5 years to 18 years 
      • Parents
      • Midterm inclusion of family members at pro-rata premium (in case of a spouse, within sixty days of marriage only) 
    • What are the major exclusions in this policy?

      Listed below are some major exclusions in this policy-

      • A waiting period of 90 days where no claims are admitted
      • The insured person must be alive for at least 30 days after the critical illness has been diagnosed
      • Dependent diseases are excluded from this policy
    • Can I cover my family under this policy too?

      Yes. This policy is available as an individual as well as family floater basis. 

       

    • Till what age is this policy renewable?

      This policy can be renewed until 65 years of age of the insured individual.

       

    • What are the tax benefits under this policy?

      Premiums paid up to Rs. 25,000 for this policy are allowed for deductions annually under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act 1961. For senior citizens, the exemption is of Rs. 30,000.
