Bharti AXA Corona Kavach Health Insurance Policy indemnifies medical expenses incurred on the treatment of Coronavirus (Covid-19) virus. This medical insurance plan provides coverage to people between the age group of 1 day and 65 years. This policy can be issued to an individual as well as a family, where it can insure some family members like legally wedded spouse, dependent children (i.e. natural or legally adopted) between the age of 1 day to 25 years, parents and parents-in-law. These relationships can get the covered under differed sum insured options from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 5 lakh.

Bharti AXA Corona Kavach Policy is available for different policy terms such as 3.5 months, 6.5 months, and 9.5 months with a waiting period of 15 days. Only after the completion of a waiting period, you can avail several benefits like pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses, home care treatment cover, in-patient hospitalisation expenses, as well as optional benefits. However, to enjoy these medical offerings the testing and diagnosis of Covid-19 must be done at a government authorised centre only. This Corona Kavach Plan is provided with a 5% discount in premium to health care workers for their contribution towards society.

This coverage is offered for a maximum period of up to 14 days per incident provided that the doctor has advised you to undergo treatment at home and your diagnosis of Covid-19 is done in a Government-authorised diagnostic centre.

    Yes, an optional benefit of Hospital Daily Cash is available under this plan. As per this benefit, the insurer shall pay you 0.5% of the sum insured amount per day for every completed 24 hours of hospitalisation for the treatment of Covid-19 for a maximum period 15 days.
