About HDFC ERGO Day2Day Care Health Insurance
Day2Day Care Policy is a unique medical insurance plan that helps you manage your daily medical expenses seamlessly through the integrated network of outpatient service providers. The policy offers 100% cashless redemption for outpatient expenses at the network hospitals. These expenses can be related to physiotherapy, annual health check-up, expenses related to medicines, etc. You can seek benefits under the policy if you are aged between 91 days and 65 years. The maximum entry age for an adult is 18 years whereas for a child, it is 25 years. The policy comes in two variants namely Silver and Gold that come with different benefits. The good news is that there are no waiting periods under the policy.
You can buy Day2Day Care Policy either on an individual basis, or on a family floater basis. In a single individual policy, a maximum of 6 members can be covered, on an individual sum insured basis with a maximum of 4 adults and 5 children. Whereas on a family floater basis, a maximum of 4 members can be covered with a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children. The policy is available for terms of 1 year or 2 years and offers several benefits apart from the coverage benefits, to the insured. These include tax benefits on the premium paid for the policy, lifetime renewability benefit, no waiting period, portability benefits, grace period benefits, etc.

- Expenses arising due to the insured committing or attempting to commit a breach of law with criminal intent

- Intentional self-injury, harm, or suicide attempt while sane or insane

- Expenses arising due to daycare procedures

The 4 adults can be a combination of self, spouse, either set of dependent parents/parents-in-law.

A maximum of 4 members can be covered in a single family floater policy with a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children. The member combinations offered in a single family floater policy are: 1A+1C, 1A+2C, 1A+3C, 2A, 2A+1C and 2A+2C only. The 2 adults can be self and spouse. Note that the dependent parents/parents-in-law are required to be covered in a separate policy.

What is the tenure for Day2Day Care Policy?
Day2Day Care Policy can be purchased for 1 or 2 years, and the sum insured and benefits of the policy shall be applicable on the basis of policy year.
