About ICICI Lombard Corona Kavach Health Insurance
ICICI Lombard Corona Kavach Policy is an indemnity-based standard health insurance policy that offers you and your family the most needed protection during pandemic times. As the name suggests, the policy offers cover against medical expenses arising due to COVID-19 on being tested positive at a government authorised diagnostic centre. You can buy this policy if you are aged between 18 years and 65 years and can add a legally-wedded spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law under it. The policy offers sum insured options ranging between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 5 lakh (in multiples of Rs. 50,000).
The terms for which ICICI Lombard Corona Kavach Policy is offered are 3.5 months, 6.5 months, and 9.5 months. The good news is that the policy does not come with any co-payment clause. Also, it does not have any sub-limit on the room rent. You can avail several benefits under the policy such as cover for in-patient hospitalisation expenses, AYUSH treatment, cashless hospitalisation, tax benefits, and so on. But note that before the policy benefits can kick in, you are required to complete a waiting period of 15 days from the date of commencement of the policy.
