  • What is the sum insured amount offered under this HealthWise Policy?

    The sum insured under this health insurance plan ranges from Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 5 Lakh.   

  • What is the entry age criteria under this health insurance policy?

    The minimum entry age under this plan is 3 months and extends to the age of 65 years.

  • Does this plan offer the coverage for daycare treatments?

    Yes, this plan offers coverage for medical expenses towards daycare treatments/surgeries, where 24 hours of hospitalisation is not needed. 

  • Is there any need for undergoing a medical test to get this HealthWise Policy?

    Yes, medical tests are required for people above the age of 45 years to get the coverage under this plan. 

  • Can I gain any discount under this health insurance plan?

    Yes, this plan offers a renewal discount under which for every claim-free renewal you can get a discount of 5% of the premium. This discount is applicable up to 4 continuous claim-free years i.e., a maximum of 20%. Also, a 7% discount is offered on covering two daughters in a 2 adult and 2 kids policy while 4% is provided if one daughter is covered under 2 adult+ 2 kids or 2 adult+1 kid policy.

  • Is there any room rent capping applied under this HealthWise Policy?

    No, no capping on the room rent is there and the room rent expenses are covered up to the sum insured amount. The plan allows you to select any room type or category.  

  • Can I get the coverage for a domiciliary hospitalisation?

    Yes, the policy gives its coverage up to 10% of the sum insured. It is basically offered for the cost incurred for availing the medical treatment at home which would otherwise require hospitalisation.

  • Does this plan offer coverage for the treatment of critical illness?

    Yes, the treatment for critical illness is covered under the Gold variant of the HealthWise Policy.

  • Can I get coverage for the cost of health check-up under this plan? If yes, how?

    Yes, you can get the reimbursement of cost of medical check-up up to 1% of average sum insured for individual policies and up to 1.25% for family floater covers, once at the end of a block of four consecutive years, if there are no claims reported under the plan by any member during the block.

  • When my pre-existing disease can get coverage under the HealthWise Policy?

    Your pre-existing diseases can get the coverage after 4 continuous renewals under the Standard variant of the plan, while under Silver and Gold variants you get the coverage after 2 continuous renewals.
