About ICICI Lombard Healthcare Plus Health Insurance
Healthcare Plus Policy offered by ICICI Lombard Health Insurance is a comprehensive top-up policy that covers you and your family in case the hospital bills exceed the existing cover. Even if you do not own a base health insurance plan, you can still opt for Healthcare Plus Policy and seek cover for up to the sum insured. The policy comes with flexible sum insured and deductible options of Rs. 5 Lakh, Rs. 8 lakh, and Rs. 10 Lakh, and Rs. 2 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, and Rs. 4 Lakh respectively, that you can choose as per your requirement. You can seek cover under Healthcare Plus Policy if you are aged between 5 years and 65 years. However, you can renew the policy until 70 years. The policy can cover up to 4 members including 2 adults, that may be legally wedded spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents, on an individual sum insured basis.
Healthcare Plus Policy does not come with any co-payment clause. Another highlight of the policy is that it does not require you to undergo any medical tests at the insurance company’s diagnostic centers, if you are aged above 56 years. Other benefits that the policy offer you include cover for hospitalisation expenses including medical and surgical expenses, diagnostic tests, doctor’s surgeon’s fees, hospital room rent, tax benefits on the premium paid for this policy, under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961, single premium across age groups, etc. Depending on your budget and other requirements, you can choose to buy the policy for either 1 year or 2 years.
