  • What is the eligibility for Healthcare Plus Policy?

    The enrolment age for the members proposed for Healthcare Plus Policy is 5 years to 65 years. The proposer must be aged at least 18 years to be able to buy the policy. Also, note that there is no requirement for the proposer to undergo a medical test at ICICI Lombard designated diagnostic center if he/she is aged 56 years or above. 

  • What are the sum insured and deductible options available under Healthcare Plus Policy?

    Healthcare Plus Policy comes with sum insured options of Rs. 5 Lakh, Rs.  8 Lakh, and Rs. 10 Lakh, and deductible options of Rs. 2 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, and Rs. 4 Lakh respectively. 

  • What are the waiting periods under Healthcare Plus Policy?

    Healthcare Plus Policy comes with the following waiting periods:

    • Pre-existing diseases are covered after a waiting period of 48 months of continuous coverage
    • Treatment of hypertension, diabetes, and cardiac conditions are covered are covered after a waiting period of 90 days from the date of commencement of the policy
    • Treatment of any illness except the claims arising due to an accident, will be covered after 30 days from the date of commencement of the policy. 
  • What are the documents required for claim under Healthcare Plus Policy?

    You will require the following documents at the time of claim under Healthcare Plus Policy:

    • Duly filled claim form that is signed by the insured and doctor
    • Original discharge card or summary and final bill
    • All original investigation reports 
    • All medicines/lab/hospital bills in original
    • Any other required document depending upon the case 
    • All original payment receipts 
  • Can I avail tax benefits on the premium paid for Healthcare Plus Policy?

    Yes. You can avail tax benefits on the premium paid for Healthcare Plus Policy, under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
