Is NCB offered by Zuno General Insurance?
Yes, just like all other general insurance companies, Zuno General Insurance also offers NCB discount on Own Damage premiums. The discount can be up to 50% if no claim is filed for 5 years.
What is not covered under Zuno Car Insurance policies?
Any of the two Zuno Car Insurance policies do not cover wear and tear of car parts and damages caused to the car due to war and nuclear perils. In addition to that, any electrical/mechanical damage is also not covered under the standard car insurance policy.
Is it compulsory to have the Zuno Private Car Package Insurance?
No, having any of the two policies will fulfil the legal compulsion of having an insurance cover for your car.
What is an endorsement?
An endorsement contains all the details regarding any changes made in the policy documents such as the name of the policyholder, registered mobile number, address, etc.
How can I download the policy wordings?
Visit the Zuno General Insurance official website and then click on the three-line menu tab present on the top right corner of the page. Click on products and select Motor Insurance from the list. Select the Download button under the Policy Wordings and the documents will be downloaded automatically.

What do I need to do for availing a discount against installing ARAI approved anti-theft devices?
You need to fill an endorsement form specifying the details of the devices installed. The company offers a 2% discount on premiums for the installation of such devices in the insured car.

What is the amount I need to pay during a claim settlement?
The amount you pay for the liabilities on your part, at the time of claim settlement, depending on the type of policy and add-on covers purchased is known as deductibles. Policyholders are liable to pay for deductibles - compulsory and voluntary (if opted for at the time of purchasing the policy).
What are the details and documents required at the time of claim intimation?
You require to provide the following details at the time of claim intimation:
- Insurance policy number
- Contact numbers
- Name of Insured policyholder
- Location of the accident
- Date and time of the accident
- A brief description of how the accident occurred.
- An estimate of the losses
- Place & contact details of the insured person (in case person intimating the claim is other than the policyholder)

Yes, you can continue to enjoy the benefits of NCB (No Claim Bonus) while renewing your policy after migrating from a different insurance company. Zuno offers NCB discounts based on the track record of the policyholders with past insurers.
Is it possible to renew my policy If I missed the deadline to renew my policy?
Yes, you can. One can renew their policy despite missing the deadline, but it can be done within 90 days of the expiry of the previous policy. Failing which, you will be required to purchase a new policy.

What factors are to be considered before opting for a zero depreciation add-on cover?
You should consider the following factors at the time of availing a zero depreciation add-on cover:
- Age of the car
- MMV (make, model and variant) of the car
- Frequency of sale or purchase of a new vehicle
- The value of the parts and components in your car
What is the premium required for availing zero depreciation add-on cover?
There is no such fixed premium for the zero depreciation add on cover, the cover is purchased against extra premium in a comprehensive policy. The premium amount for comprehensive policies are determined on the basis of certain factors like Insured Declared Value (IDV) of your car, its age, MMV, cubic capacity etc.

How can I get a duplicate copy of the policy documents if I lose the original one?

Are passengers of the insured’s car covered under the comprehensive car insurance plan?
Zuno comprehensive car insurance policy covers only insured’s car and third party liabilities in case of an accident or any other mishap. To get an insurance cover for unnamed passengers, you can buy the Zuno Personal Accident Cover for everybody else travelling in your car, up to Rs. 2,00,000 per person.
Is it mandatory to have a comprehensive car insurance policy?
No, according to the Indian Motor Tariff, every car owner should have their car insured with at least a third party/liability only insurance policy. Thus, a comprehensive cover is not mandatory a mandatory requirement but it is a recommended plan as it insures you against the own-damages of your car in addition to third party liabilities.

Can I extend the coverage of a third party car insurance plan?
No, you cannot extend the coverage of a third party car insurance insurance.
Does the Zuno Third Party Car Insurance Plan cover injuries to me or damage to my car?
No, the Zuno Third Party Car Insurance Plan cover does not cover injuries to you or damage to your car. To cover yourself against the injuries, you can opt for a Personal Accident Cover and for a cover for damages to your car, you can opt for a comprehensive or standalone own-damage car insurance policy.
How much compensation is offered by Zuno General Insurance in case of death of a third party?
Zuno General Insurance offers 100% of the compensation amount in case of a third party’s death due to the insured’s car. The compensation amount is decided by a court of law.
