    • Is the sum insured paid in full in all plan variants?

      In Plans 1 and 2, 100% of the sum insured is paid if the insured suffers from a covered illness. However, in Plan 3, 50% of the sum insured, subject to a maximum of Rs. 10 Lakh is paid for some illnesses which are specified.

    • What is the waiting period under the plan?

      A period of 90 days from the date of commencement of risk is the waiting period under all plan variants. Moreover, in Plan 3, there is a waiting period of 180 days for specified illnesses and treatments.

    • What is the survival period, if any?

      There is a survival period of 15 days in all plan variants. This means that the insured should survive for at least 15 days after the diagnosis of the illness to claim the benefit.

    • What are the minimum and maximum entry ages?

      The minimum entry age for Plan 1 and Plan 2 is 5 years but for Plan 3 is 18 years. The maximum entry age in all plan variants is 65 years.

    • For how long can the policy be bought?

      The policy can be taken for 1, 2 or 3 continuous years.

    • How much sum insured can be taken by the proposer?

      Though the maximum sum insured is up to Rs. 1 Crore, the proposer can avail up to 12 times his/her gross annual income as the sum insured under the plan.

    • Can the spouse be covered for the same level of sum insured as the proposer?

      If the spouse is a non-earning member, coverage would be restricted to up to 50% of the proposer’s coverage that too up to a maximum of Rs. 30 Lakh.

    • What is the time limit to make a claim for a covered illness?

      The claim should be made within 7 days of the occurrence of the illness. Moreover, all the claim-related documents should be submitted to the company within 30 days.

    • Can dependent parents be covered under the plan?

      Yes, dependent parents, as well as parents-in-law, can also be covered under the plan.

    • What would be the coverage for dependent children?

      Dependent children can be covered for up to 50% of the proposer’s sum insured subject to a limit of  Rs. 15 Lakh.
