About New India Arogya Sanjeevani Health Insurance

The Arogya Sanjeevani Policy is a type of health insurance provided by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA). It's a standard policy that helps cover your medical expenses, and it's not too expensive. You can buy it for yourself or your family, with coverage options ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 10 lakhs, in multiples of Rs. 50,000.

If you're buying it just for yourself, only you can benefit from it. If you're getting it for your family, you can include your spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law. The co-payment, which is the amount you have to pay, is low at 5%, so it won't be a big financial burden.

You can get this policy from New India Assurance if you're between 18 and 65 years old. If you're getting the family plan, your kids aged between 3 months and 25 years can be included. However, if your child is over 18 and financially independent, they can't be covered.

The policy covers various medical expenses, including hospitalisation, both before and after, daycare procedures, treatments under the AYUSH system, ambulance costs, and modern treatments. Let's learn about this policy in detail.
