About New India Cancer Guard Health Insurance

Cancer Guard Policy covers you for treatment of Cancer taken as in-patient, out-patient, or daycare. The policy covers people aged between 3 months and 65 years for several conventional and advanced treatments, some of which include radiotherapy, chemotherapy, organ transplant, proton treatment, personalised and targeted therapy, stem cell transplantation, etc. The policy comes with a wide range of sum insured options starting from Rs. 5 Lakh and going up till Rs. 50 Lakh that the insured can opt for as per the options available for his/her age. Also, to be covered under Cancer Guard Policy, there is no requirement to undergo any pre-policy medical check-up.

Apart from covering for treatments related to cancer, the policy offers you other benefits as well. These include cover for daycare procedures, emergency ambulance expenses, expenses incurred due to organ transplantation, second opinion for surgery, and pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses. Other policy benefits include free look period, tax benefits under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961, cashless as well as reimbursement facility, grace period, and sum insured enhancement at the time of renewal. In short, the policy provides comprehensive coverage and can prove to be a saviour in case of an emergency.
