  • What is the coverage duration for pre and post hospitalisation expenses?

    Pre hospitalisation expenses are covered for up to 60 days and post hospitalisation expenses are covered for up to 90 days.

  • What are the limits on maternity coverage?

    Up to two deliveries are covered under the plan and the limit per delivery is Rs. 50,000. New born baby cover would be available up to the base sum insured of the mother. Vaccination expenses of the new born baby would be covered for the first year up to a maximum of Rs. 10,000. Nutritional allowance for the mother would be available for up to Rs. 10,000.

  • What is domiciliary hospitalisation?

    Hospitalisation which is taken at home is called domiciliary hospitalisation. This type of hospitalisation is covered if the insured was in no condition to be moved to a hospital or if there was no hospital bed for accommodating the insured. Domiciliary hospitalisation is usually covered if such hospitalisation exceeds 3 days.

  • Are there any premium discounts?

    Yes, a discount of 15% on the premium is allowed if the insured lives in a non-metro city of India. Moreover, if a 2-year policy is bought, a discount of 7.5% is allowed and if a 3-year policy is bought a discount of 12% is allowed.

  • What is the second opinion coverage?

    The plan covers 11 critical illnesses. If the insured suffers from any of the covered illness, the plan arranges for a medical second opinion free of cost with the company’s empanelled doctors.

  • Is medical check-up necessary when buying the policy?

    Medical check-up is necessary if the insured’s age is 50 years and above and/or the insured has opted for an aggregate coverage of Rs. 10 Lakh and above. Moreover, if there is any medical complication which the insured suffers from, a medical check-up would be required.

  • What are the coverage tenure options available?

    The plan is available for a period of 1-3 years.

  • Can the insured switch hospitals during treatments?

    Yes, the plan allows coverage for changing hospitals during treatment in case of life threatening situations. Coverage is allowed for up to Rs. 1 Lakh for the costs incurred in changing hospitals.

  • Is an additional premium payable for opting hospital cash benefit?

    Yes, an additional premium would be payable if the insured wants to choose the hospital cash benefit coverage.

  • What value-added services are provided by the plan?

    The plan offers health and wellness related services like health articles, health tracking tool, doctors on call, etc.
